Throw Grace, Catch Joy

Ed Haponik
"a yo-yo video featuring the 'polished pre-release' version of the new SPYY Ronin, a yo-yo i began designing in the autumn of 2007, and which is finally becoming a reality.

in some respects the antithesis of the 'Flying V', the Ronin sports a nearly square profile and a gap you could shop for crappy jeans in. SPYY's proprietor, Steve Buffel was able (once again) to turn my inexperienced daydreams into an exquisitely-smooth high-performance zombie-bludgeon of a yo-yo (i've beaten the absolute crap out of this thing and it's still 'cant-tell-it's-spinning' smooth).

the PPR version weighs in at 68.5g, features the CBC Center-Trac bearing and K-Pads, and will be on sale at the National Yo-Yo Contest in Chico next week."
