The Raven.

The Raven 888 is the second YoyoZ custom made 888, this is a beautiful black beadblasted finish so the surface is perfect for grinds the bead blasting has given the yoyo a really gorgeous blue hue to it rather like a raven. The art work still has a Celtic feel, but has moved towards the gothic. The hubstacks are clear and it features the new white o rings

"So what changed for this year? Material changed, they have stepped up an alloy grade, to 7075 then they changed the machining process to offer a high lustre finish. It isn't all about grinds you know . The axle is stainless, . Its a floating axle, no need to centre, no need for loctite or glues. The total weight has not changed much at all, but everyone who tried it comments on how it is heavier, this is all in the weight distribution, which is futher improved. The new hubstacks are polycarbonate and a little lighter too"

This showcase is an invitational contest and only eight from Singapore's top spinners will get to compete in this event. Winner will walk away with a new handphone, medal and attractive yo-yos!

Date: 30 May 2008

Time: 9pm (contestants to report at 8.30pm)

Venue: Heeren (entrance)

Contest Format:

- KO Style Format (8 > 4 > 2 > CHAMPION)

- A coin toss will decide on who goes first

- Each player will be given 30 seconds to complete a run.

- Emcee will indicate the count down for a session to start. (e.g. “3...2...1....go!”)

- Emcee will also indicate when it is the last 10 secs of the run.

- Participants are reminded to utilize the Dj’s scratching for their run.

- Only one throw allowed for each attempt.
*for 2A (Double hand) : Unlimited reps, only one catch allowed.
*re-generations are allowed.

- Turn ends when given counts of beats played by DJ ends or a mess up in the tricks.
*mess up: string tangles or dead yoyos.

- Amount of participants: 8

- Judges will be given score cards from 1 - 5 points. Points are given purely on how the performer impress the judges based on integration of tricks with the music played by the DJ.

- Player will have to turn around and not peek at the other player while he is having his attempt.

- Scores will be flashed by the judges at the end of each attempt.

- Judges Decision if final.

YOYOFACTORY B-Grades yoyo order.

ok people, i'm taking order for the B-grade YYF yoyos. Dimi is helping us get IF u really really need to know. YYF B-Grades are usually YYF yoyo that has cosmetic defect BUT playable.
they're cheaper then production runs. AND, they're usually ONLY available to the U.S players in their local contest. but Dimi manage to get em however(u don't need to know how he manage to do that (= ) this is the best picture i got of how the B-Grades will look.(below)

And before you start asking me any questions, PLEASE READ ALL. I believe what ever u need to know is stated.

Whatever is available is listed, whatever u see in the picture but not listed is of cuz not available, so don't bother asking me. time is pretty rush, I need everyone who is interested to let me know BY WEDNESDAY 14-5-08 2pm. SMS me at [deleted, over.], put your Name, and what you want.
E.G: Melvin, Skyline red x 1.

AND, you will have to have the money ready, the deadline is for ordering, i'm not sure when the items will be coming, if u want em, just make sure u have them ready all time.
because time is rush, i will not entertain questions that got answers here. so do not nudge me if i don't reply u in MSN.

Because stocks are LIMITED, i cannot promise all of the orders will be made, HOWEVER, if you're interested i still need you to get your money just in case yor order is available. priority to first come first serve.

just in case you need to know which is better, all these are base on my opinion/experience wit YYF yoyos:
08 888 - blue / purple: its more stable then 07 888s, but from what i know many prefer 07 888s then 08 888s. i myself would prefer a 07 888 but they're NO LONGER in production or available on sale, but u can try your luck on a 2nd hand one(try forums). both 08 888s and 07 888s are equally smooth. but these are B-Grades, with cosmetic defect. if u wan black or red, u can get it from SPINWORKX, production grade.

skyline - red: many players say its stable, to me, its not as stable as a 08 888, i'm comparing it to a 08 888 cuz its a undersize yoyo too. but its really smooth, like any YYF hubstack yoyo. I like it alot, i like the way it feels, how fast it is, but i just wouldn't use it for freestyle, maybe video clips, but i love to play with it. BUT remember, its a YYN exclusive, which means its not suppose to be available anywhere else. its a good buy for sure, even though its a Grade-B.

GM2 - green: in my opinion, the hubstack yoyo with the best stability from YYF. To me, its more stable then any G5 series but that's just me. Of all my normal size YYF yoyo, if u must force me to choose one, GM2 is my Favorite. nuff' said.

G5 - black: I've never tried a G5, but i own a G5+, has a very nice rim weight, so i'm guessing the G5 should be the same, just that its slimmer. if u like a H-profile/G5 yoyo, but want it fast and light, I'm guessing this is the one u should go with, like i mentioned, i've never tried a G5 before.

i don't know how the B-Grades yoyo will look like, base on the image shown above, i'm guessing they'll be plain w/o any of the usual logos. for the skylines i'm not even sure if its beadblasted given its B-Grade. i heard 'B-Grade' will be printed on them. and i think they will not come in packagings. just loose yoyos.

ok, finally here are some pictures of the B-Grades from BAC.

as u can see from tis rim, the ano is fading.

and B-Grade logo are being printed on the yoyo rim. still looks cool though.
and thats not a ding, thats a ano defect.

the 555 stil comes with its 555 logo, but this G5, however din't come with its G5 logo, maybe it did but on the black side, maybe it din't at all. so maybe some still comes wit the logo, some don't. so now you got a rough idea. don't expect too much. I KNOW some of you are gonna ask me, this G5 has no hubstack, i'm telling u, the owner probably took it off, cuz if u look at the first picture right at the top, all the yoyos has hubstack wit them.

REMINDER: what ever might be available is stated, some may be interested in the color combination but they are not available to us.

if you notice there's a slight 2-color tone between the rim and the body, its not bimetallic, its some coating that provide better grinds i'm guessing. i'm not too sure about the o-rings though, its either the 'proto' new orings that YYJ has, or its actually some other oring that the player replace.
