Ondrej Sedivy coming to Singapore

Ondrej Sedivy from Duncan Crew Czech Republic is coming to Singapore next week.
he's also the person behind the Hugo yoyo Z Hor shown below.

he'll most likely be reaching Singapore next Wednesday, time not yet confirmed,
he'll be coming along with a person who likes to open his mouth when doing complex/yabai tricks, and loves to give out free hugs.

Ondrej will only be here for a day and leaving the next morning/afternoon, so those of you who's free and want to hang out, do keep out for updates.

Kyo DNS

KYO:
"That's right, a new yo-yo.. from me.. and it -does not- cost a small fortune :)

This, is project DNS.

I designed this 100% with the players in mind.. I've adjusted this thing to match exactly the comments and requests I've gotten over the last few years. Every aspect of this yo-yo has been tweaked to perfection.

The coating on this thing has not yet been finalized.. I will say that it is actually more durable than hardcoat anodizing, and it is as low-friction as teflon. I'm way excited about it, it feels extremely nice. It won't look like raw metal, I'll update with the final images soon.

Now to what you all want to see, the specs.

Diameter: 53.7mm
Width: 42.4mm
Gap: 4.3mm
Weight: 65g
Bearing: Large "C" Bearing
Response: Clear Silicone O-Ring

And of course, the pics :) Keep in mind this is a prototype sample, the final will have a coating (but is otherwise identical)."

New P2s

New Project 2s from OneDrop!

Jackie Moon Fade.

and Purple Marble Fade.

not just new colors, but seems to me like there's a tweak made to the bolt and nut area...
its now a triangle shape instead of the usual um... i dunno what u call that...
it seems like this is the 3rd change.
look at the 3 pictures below, all Project2s, and take a good look at the nut area... they all look different. the first one is the same as P2, and then there's a tweak, and then again which is the new ones.

Same Plastic Shells, Different Great Yoyos

Plastic Grind Machine, Death to Metal yoyo.
and we thought thats the best plastic YYF can come up with...
the shape was great, and YYF went on to improve it, and comes the Counter Attack and Die-Nasty!
here's a look at the different yoyos with the same shells.
Die-Nasty, PGM v1, PGM v2, Counter Attack

u can't differentiate them just by looking at the shells from the response view, except for the Counter Attack cause its translucent. and of course, the center-trac bearing for both the Counter Attack and the Die-Nasty, other than that, they all look the same from this view.
but i got to say, they all play differently..... ok, maybe the PGM v1 & v2 plays about the same.
note, this is not a review, just photos for those who wants one but have not gotten, and needs picture of them~

here's the photos of the Die-Nasty!

and the Counter Attack, my favorite among them!

Pocket Change

Picture sharing...
for the benefit blah blah blah... u get it...
Pocket Change this time.

Comparison with the YYF OffString in 1A mode.

the YYF OffString 1A mode was near fun, but it slips. and feels heavy.
probably due to the old bearing system, and then there's this new spacer bearing system, and i thought, "wow, this is gonna be so much more better!"
got one, still slips. but guess what, with the new Pocket Change, it now comes with sili pad response, and what, a center-trac bearing, this thing is sooo much better than it used to be.

now Pocket Change move on to 4A mode.

YYF OffString have nvr felt so good. the center-trac works so good in the Pocket Change OffString, atleast to me. it plays so much better now.

here's a comparison photo of the Pocket Change Offstring with the Original OffString for those who are interested.

Loop720 New and Old

again, for the benefit of those who are interested.
Loop720 pictures, New and Old.
Old: Clear with White Caps, Black logo.
New: Translucent Yellow, Silver foil logo.

i took out the string response and applied friction sticker to both, because i'm using friction sticker on the old ones. thats why u don't see string response here, but you get a better view on the gap.

the New Loop720 has a wider gap, and also thicker halves.
if u can't see the difference, look at the 2nd pic, its more obvious.
i could be wrong about the thicker halves, but thats what i see and feel.

although i uses friction sticker on my old Loop720s, and most local player here do too,
but i really think the new ones are meant to accept string response due to the large gap, so if u ask me... i'm not a 2A main, so i can't give u much advice.. i'd say try different weaving pattern, if you own the new ones.

Genesis 135

for the benefit of those who wants a Genesis but haven't got one, here are pictures of mine,
so u can have a look at the insides and stuff.

here are the comparison photo of the Genesis(Yoga Flame) with the GM2(BvA),
for those who are interested.

and now... some of the Genesis user has experience string breakage on their brand new Genesis,
thats probably due to the "sharp" edge of the wall of the response, see below.

there's nearly no wall, but u see the edge?
that's probably what causing the string to break.
so what i do is, out of package, i use a cloth to rub along the wall, or just rub across the whole response surface. it helps.

and silicone falling off... can't help much, cause the recess is a little shallow, i don't have problem with mine. maybe u wanna try out the new K-pads, i think they fit the Genesis, and probably won't fall off easily like the flowable.
see more Genesis photo here.
