C3 Winning Bird

the DarkStar was really good, i really hope to try this out.
but the prints on the rims are like so familiar... i see it everywhere now, i don't know if it represent any clothing line though...

*update:
about the prints.
Ron just talk to me about it and its this Hound's Tooth pattern that are used in many woven material as a pattern. no wonder i'm seeing it everywhere.
even this carrier i got somewhere have this printings.
in mandarin, this design is called, 千鳥格, which in translation, its a grid of a pattern of thousands of birds, which is the reason why C3 use this pattern on the rims.

C3yoyodesign Darkstar 2011

the 2011 version Darkstar by C3yoyodesign is here.
comes in a pretty neat packaging, along with it is a pair of very thin rubber weight rings, which i didn't use, because i felt the weight was good enough. the yoyo itself comes with a Center-Trac bearing.
the ones you guys see on forums and stuff are usually in red or gold anodized, C3 gave me a clear ano one, which looks stunningly nice.
so, i was rather excited about this yoyo, because i tried the capsule, it really wasn't that good, to be honest. the guys spend alot of time on these new yoyos, i was looking forward to how it'll play.
i'm not exactly a fan of raw yoyos because of how they feel in the hand, lucky thing is this is clear anoed, not raw. i like the feeling. it kinda reminds me a little of the Dream-Yo Man, its a little similar, but its bigger.
so when i first took out this yoyo from its packaging, i was like, wow. i mean, the capsule, again, didn't feel this solid, the weight distribution is good, quickly took own string, put it on, wind up, give a few throws. i usually take pictures first, yea. but it feels pretty good just holding it, the weight, the shape, the size, so i got to try it first.
okay, weird thing is, on first throw, the first thing that came to my mind is, Hiroyuki.
i don't know, i just have a feeling Hiroyuki might like this yoyo, its just me. i think C3 should let him try it. Center-Trac makes this yoyo feels super smooth and nice.
handle backspin well, doesn't tilt when play fast, handles everything i threw on it, lacerations, front-styles, sidestyles, however, i don't do horizontal tricks.... so... i can't judge on that, once again, but chill, you guys look out for me to try this yoyo out.
IRG... there's this lip which is meant for the rubber weight rings, pretty deep, but i just tried doing IRG on it, i find it hard to do it, unless you got long nails, should be achievable, but then again, its Ron Chan's Signature yoyo, which is meant to be a 5A yoyo, i guess those IRG lip weren't really meant for IRG
**so Ron just told me that the rubber rings are meant more for doing 5A horizontal tricks!
and also, if you're doing 1A horizontal, its advisable to install the rubber rings as well as it'll sustain the horizontal spin.**
it grinds, but not built to do so. it spins long, definitely, and solid, solid is the word.
the gap is nice too, in my opinion, if its any wider, it'll probably feel bulky, rim-weight is good, its fast, man i don't know how to write a proper review anymore, but its really good!
like usual, promo video will be made, not so soon though, videos shows it all, wait for it.
