Adegle Comet (Iskandar Shah Signature yoyo)
Adegle Comet, Adegle's newest product and Iskandar Shah's signature yoyo.
when i first tried Iskandar's prototype, i didn't fancy it that much, i felt the edges were sharp, but when i got this sample, it felt different, is it just me, or i just grown to get used to it?
The Adegle Comet comes in a YoYoJoker-ish packaging. i kinda like it.
engravings design and pattern is pretty fresh to me, but this runs of engravings feels rougher than the previous few Adegles when touched. however, it doesn't affect the play, it still grinds. The Comet has a slight H-profile, rim weighted, and smooth, uses o-ring size response, not pads. unique stepped hub design.
like i mentioned, i didn't fancy it at first, but grown to like it, Lin-Kai may have tune the shape a little, or it could be due to the machining process that makes the difference.
reps tried, horizontal seems very well done with the Comet, stable, solid.
mine uses a flat bearing, but it handles backspin very well, its that smooth, it spins real long, it grinds like mentioned although the engraving feels rough.
lacerations, front/side style and stuff are no problem, i like to add that i personally feel the axle system is pretty precised, took apart, screw it back, smoothness. as you guys may know some pretty high-end yoyos are real good, but when took apart and screwed back, you can't actually do it smoothly due to the bearing seat or axle seat not in alignment, or the tolerance not very precised. but this one is good. its very firm. Iskandar abuse his prototypes pretty bad practicing his 5A, and its still smooth when i tried it awhile ago for 1A. no vibes, no wobs.
some may need awhile to get use to holding it though. and return on a hard throw/power spin may hurt a little, technique guys.
many should have tried this yoyo already, but if you haven't look out for me to try it.
videos soon hopefully!
also, as of now, there's still one blue and one silver Adegle Comet available at IshiYoYoStore now at 148SGD if you would like to grab it.

Adegle Glaze
before AP2010, Lin-Kai told me the Glaze won't be available so soon but can try it out at AP.
durin AP2010, Lin-Kai and Chao-Ju hand me a box. i thought they wanna let me have a look at the Glaze, i thought to myself, "why don't they just hand me the yoyo instead? why in a box?"
i open it, nice! undersized, i like, i look at the laser engrave on the body, pretty!
and they turn the yoyo with the hub facing me and go, "here, look at this", i'm like, "WOW!"
why? because there's a SY Blog Logo laser engraved on it!
and then i thought to myself again, "is this for me? i thought its only for trying~?"
and so i ask them, for me? yes! THANKS Lin-Kai & Chao-Ju!
so here's the pictures!

the production run will have a plain hub like this, atleast for the time being, no plans i know of doing anything to the hub.

comparison to YYF 07 888.

small RhongTo? Not.
sadly wasn't the first person to throw this. i let some players try on the spot.
then~ i try it.
i love it. i got it on the first day of AP2010, and use it for the prelims on day2 of the event.
does it explain how much i like it?
this is anodized, unlike the RhongTo and new batches of old models, which are BeadBlasted.
i remember it grinds pretty well on the first day i tried, but weird thing is i just throw it and it doesn't grind, let me explain... it doesn't grind and stay, it climbs, real fast, and still able to spin long. not like some yoyos that grind climbs and slow down the spin. maybe its just the weather, or really the engravement that cause it, i don't know, better for u to try it out personally.
Stability, rim weighted, stable, fast, does not feel too heavy.
pretty wide gap for a undersize, the shape, etc.
oh yes, this comes with Adegle's own designed pad.
bearing? i heard they now uses large size bearing(YYJ), but i don't know if it applies to this run, i guess it does, because it seems that this bearing is under test, Lin-Kai's trying out new bearing.
if u don't know, the older models all uses a slightly different size, thats why some may have trouble fitting a KK into them, and the yoyo end up wobbly and vibes.
but so far i haven't got any problem with the bearing, spins long, comes cleaned, not responsive, bla bla. yea.
look for me to try out the yoyo in meetings!

Adegle RhongTo
just collect the package today, from Adegle Lin-Kai.
thanks Lin-Kai! over here is a sample RhongTo, first look, wow, unlike other previous Adegle models, this is like wow. solid feel, beadblasted, nice colors. Adegle stepping up the game!

i couldn't wait to try it.
its amazing, i usually prefer ring response, but this pad response is great! the older model's ring response is nice, but just abit too slippy? this is nice, i love it. its slightly undersized, nice beadblast, own new response. tight binds, nice frictions, hand grinds was nice, gotta work a little on the finger, it climbs up, instead of staying on the spot, could be due to the holes, but doesn't really affect much, u just gotta control the grind.
playing wise, its great, really, its smooth, its long spinning, feels nice in the palm, nice shape, the hole doesn't affect my holding of the yoyo.
its not exactly light what most will think, it feels a little light when u hold it, but weighted when throw, but it be just me, i don't know, stability checked, this thing is fast too!
if u like the SandGlass, you probably like this more!
i'm loving mine. really. plus its the color i want, thanks again Lin-Kai!
oh yes...
here, an edition only Team member have.
notice "TEAM ADEGLE" is engraved on it?
no, no, its not mine, i'm not on the Team
this one... will go to one local player here....
Adegle is watching. have u make a video lately? placed at contest lately?
