There will be a early registration fee of $25 SGD for participants (regardless of the number of divisions to join) payable during the event. This special price is only for participants registering before the 13th October 2008. After the deadline, the fee will revert back to $50 SGD.

AP registration!

Registration is now open for all competitors. You can access the registration page here. This Asia Pacific Yo-yo Championships is open to all players from Asia. Seedings will be given to the 1st place holder from each country’s 2008 nationals. If that seeded player is unable to come for AP, the seeding will be passed on to the 2nd place holder.

If you prefer to choose the high budget (YWCA Fort Canning Lodge) accommodation, please register as soon possible to secure the hotel bookings.

Please note that the registration fee is S$25 (regardless of number of divisions that you join) if you register before the 13th October 2008. After the deadline, registration fees will be S$50. Fees will be payable on the day of preliminaries.

We intentionally decided to leave most of the specs as they are, this includes the gap width. What we changed: The halves are siliconable! We recommend to silicone only one (1) yoyo half, and to make sure that the silicone surface is konkave (denting inwards), and further, to wash the bearing. That performs wonderfully!

Lucha Libre pictures

This is the final production Lucha Libre, the Luchador's delrin counterpart.
The shape is similar, but it weighs in at 66.5 grams and comes with a recessed silicone groove.
Here are the specs -
56mm tall
42mm wide
66.5g

YoYoNation will get the first batch of them. Throw Down YoYo made 100 and they will receive 90 of them, 25 of which in assorted colors (purple, bronze, yellow and red).

Expect to see these up for sale in the about three weeks or so!

Help host the foreign players

To my knowledge, many foreign, mainly Japanese players might not be coming cause of the expenses, tickets and stuffs. if anyone can help to host 1 or 2 foreign players, it'll help lighten their expenses. if anyone can help, please contact spinworkx as soon as possible.
