B!ST Competizione Super EVO III
look what i got from the post office today.
from Ettore Ferro, Mr B!ST.
Competizione Super EVO III.
i got the package, it came disassembled, so the package was flat.
but when i see Ettore's name on it, i was like, HOLY...
but when i see Ettore's name on it, i was like, HOLY...
i feel and press the package, but didn't feel a whole yoyo, so i was like, what could this be.
open it up, saw the plastic nuts, follow by halves, took one and look at the laser engrave, EVO???? i immediately assemble it and took pictures!
i think it look great in person.
more pictures!
undersized, think 888. wide. handmade V-shape bearing. red gasket silicone, very nicely done. doesn't feel like a normal anodized process to me. i could be wrong, i've got to check with Ettore on this. but its felt pretty good. to me atleast.
oh yeah, saw those threads on the hub/nipple area(second last above)?
its for adding weights, that look like this:
reminds me of the Playmaxx StuntPilot3's propeller head.
possibly delrin, or not.
here's how it look with the weights on.
capped ones, which is my preferred setting.
other than being weights, i actually have no idea what other purpose there is for the plastic nuts. oh yes, this capped nut pops out above the rim when put on, which means, it doesn't lay flat.
without the weights, its plays pretty light. i've yet to get the specs for it.
grindability, good, it grinds and stays, smooth. stability, checked, using the capped nut weights, it doesn't tilt easily when forcing your way through tricks. speed, you got it although with added weights, it still move around/witin the strings fast.
smoothness, of course! the silicone response was very nicely done, its so smooth! very unreponsive, but tight bind. i'm guessing u can use ghost pads/kpads size pads for it.
and yes, people, do look around for me if you wanna check the yoyo out and try it!

That looks fantastic! I just bought my tix to the World Yo-Yo Contest almost specifically so I could meet Ettore! Can't wait to try one of these.
