Daddy makes Yoyo for son
14y/o son of a CNC machinist who makes motorcycle parts wants a yoyo for Christmas,
since son never really have one, but money was tight, Dad got him a couple cheap Duncan Butterfly yoyos.
Son's happy and contented and went ahead to learn tricks from websites and videos.
Son's learning pretty quick and getting better at it, and realise its getting limited using a cheap Duncan fixed axle yoyo.
Dad and son went on to research on better yoyos and realise yoyos now comes in ball-bearing axle,
and soon found out yoyos like this cost 30-100++USD.
as money is tight, son just ordered 100strings to feed his new addiction as best as he could.
Dad feels a bit bad for son as son has found something he is really enjoying, but without a better yoyo, son has kind of reached a plateau.
One day, Dad stop making motorcycle parts for a day, and decide to make his first 2 custom one-off T6-Billet Aluminum ball bearing axle YoYos.
Dad spent all day researching performance YoYos, designing, programming, and manufacturing 2 YoYos, named "The Impaler".
some may feel this yoyo is pretty old school, or maybe even not up to today's yoyo standard, but note, he's new to the yoyo world, he's not new to manufacturing and design, but he's knows little or nothing about yoyo making.
the kid's lucky, the daddy's great.
and the yoyo looks pretty awesome for someone who is new to yoyoing, let alone yoyo making.
